Sonic Aluminum Rear-mount Starter
Packages are specifically designed for short track, Late Model racing.
These Packages are ideal for any Late Model-style class that allows small
diameter clutches and flywheels, reverse-mount starters, and aluminum
bellhousings.
Features

Aluminum Bellhousing:
An incredibly rigid and strong
bellhousing offering maximum ground clearance. Benefits from the same
casting molds as Tilton's UTGC Magnesium Monohousing. Rear mounts starter for
additional header clearance and improved weight distribution. Weighs 11.4
lbs (same as competitors AlMag bellhousings.)

5.5" Clutches:
Offer excellent engine acceleration and
deceleration characteristics through a low Moment-of-Inertia. Features a
similar open clutch cover, pressure plate, and floater plate design as Tilton's
OT-series clutch for uncompromised durability. Available in 2 or 3-plate
versions.

105-tooth Flywheel:
Machined from top quality, preheat-treated
billet 4140 steel. This results in a far superior and safer operation than
competitor's riveted-on ring gears and stamped metal adapters. After
machining, flywheels are given an additional surface heat treatment, greatly
improving ring gear tooth life and reducing wear to the clutch friction surface.
This flywheel also provides a lower Moment-of-Inertia than competitor's
110-tooth arrangement.

Rear-mount Starter:
Features a 1.4kW (2.0hp), 9-tooth pinion gear
and proven gear reduction design. It is also directly interchangable with
Quarter Master® rear-mount starters.

Hydraulic Release
Bearing: Mounts directly to the
bellhousing and all clearances are preset from the factory. Once
installed, bearing clearance will never need to be adjusted over the life of the
clutch. Features the same seal and piston designs that have made Tilton
bearings the choice for 24 hour endurance where 20,000 shifts in a single race
is the norm.
